About Us
trial-tec was founded in 2017 by Sönke Koberg and Gerhard Korporal. In 2019, they admitted Johannes Rohr as a third partner to expand into Hesse. The company was completed in 2020 by opening an additional station in Saxony.
trial-tec is specialized in field trials concerning plant breeding, plant protection (GEP), plant nutrition, and production technology. On top of that, trial-tec is an accredited institution for the technical inspection of plot sprayers.
In our workshop, technical requirements are implemented quickly, whether repairs, adjustments or new developments. Their suitability for our work can be tested immediately in practice which facilitates continual improvement.

GEP Certification
trial-tec GmbH conducts a multitude of agricultural field trials in plant protection (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, plant growth regulators), plant nutrition, as well as variety performance.
Most of our trials originate from manufacturers of agrochemicals including biostimulants to test for efficacy and/or selectivity in various regions.
Since May 2019, trial-tec GmbH has been officially recognized as a facility for testing the efficacy of plant protection products according to § 8 par. 6 of the Plant Protection Products Ordinance and pursuant to Regulation (EU) 284/2013. The certificate has been renewed for 5 years from April 22, 2023 to April 21, 2028.
